The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects the weather tomorrow to be generally partly cloudy, with no significant change in temperatures, and lower humidity levels leading to cold nights.
The bulletin states:
General situation: Stable autumn weather will prevail over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin, with daytime temperatures within seasonal averages and cold nights until Monday afternoon, when a moderately active fast-moving low-pressure system accompanied by relatively cold air masses from the Black Sea will affect the region, causing unstable and rainy weather until Tuesday noon, then gradually easing while temperatures remain low.
Note: Average December temperatures in Beirut range between 13–21°C, in Tripoli 10–19°C, and in Zahle 4–14°C.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Saturday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with fog over the mountains in the morning. Daytime temperatures will rise to seasonal averages. Scattered drizzle is expected in inland areas in the evening.
Sunday: Generally partly cloudy with no significant change in temperatures. Lower humidity will lead to cold nights.
Monday: Partly cloudy with medium and high clouds, stable temperatures. Humidity rises from the afternoon, clouds thicken, and scattered rain intensifies at night, especially in southern areas, with lightning, thunder, and active winds. Fog forms over the mountains reducing visibility, and snow falls above 2000m, dropping to 1700m and lower in northern areas.
Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy, temperatures drop below seasonal averages. Fog forms over mountains, scattered rain occurs and may be heavy at times with lightning, thunder, and strong winds up to 60 km/h, especially in the morning. Snow falls above 1500m, reaching 1300m in northern and inland mountains. Rain intensity decreases in the afternoon with wide clearings. Ice formation on mountain roads at night is warned.
