Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri mourned MP Ghassan Skaff. The statement read: 

"Lebanon and its Parliament lose an exceptional parliamentary, scientific, and national figure, who worked for Lebanon and its people, carrying their hopes and pains above his own until his last breath. May God have mercy on our colleague and friend, MP Dr. Ghassan Skaff, and grant patience and solace to his family, colleagues, all Lebanese, and especially the people of Western Bekaa"
