In his New Year’s Day sermon, Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi emphasized that peace is not something granted ready-made, but rather a process that must be built from within through a united national decision.  

He stressed that true peace requires a collective will among Lebanese leaders and citizens, supported by international efforts aimed at building a strong state and reinforcing its institutions.  

Rahi’s remarks came during the traditional Mass held at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke, where he renewed calls for dialogue, accountability, and the revival of constitutional institutions to ensure Lebanon’s stability and future.
