U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he followed “the operation to arrest Maduro on a television screen,” affirming that “Maduro was in a fortified stronghold during the arrest, and we were ready to deal with that.”

Trump added in an interview with Fox News: “I believe no one was killed during the operation to arrest Maduro, and the timing was perfect to carry it out.”

He also revealed that “we were going to carry out the operation against Maduro four days earlier, but the weather conditions were not ideal.”
