“War Is Back in Vogue,” Pope Expresses Concern
Pope Leo XIV remarked that "war has returned, as if it is back in vogue," emphasizing that "diplomacy, which promotes dialogue and seeks consensus among all, is gradually being replaced by diplomacy of force, whether by individuals or groups of allies."

He added: "The principle established after World War II, which prohibited nations from using force to violate the borders of others, has been broken. We no longer seek peace as a gift and a good we desire for its own sake, but instead, we seek it through the power of arms, as a condition to impose dominance and sovereignty."
