Following the meeting, el Sayegh stressed the need to uphold the constitution and reject any postponement of elections, underscoring the right of resident and expatriate Lebanese to vote. He also called for legislative amendments to enable expatriates to vote from abroad and for the full implementation of the Lebanese Army’s plan south of the Litani River.
