The Forecast Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected that tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy with local fog on the mountains and a rise in temperatures.
The bulletin stated the following:
General situation:
A weak and fast-moving low-pressure system centered over northern Egypt is affecting the eastern Mediterranean basin and Lebanon. It will gradually recede this evening, Saturday, with weather stabilizing starting Sunday and temperatures rising. The region is expected to be affected again by a moderate low-pressure system, bringing unsettled and occasionally rainy weather starting Tuesday night.
Note: Average January temperatures are between 12 and 19°C in Beirut, between 9 and 17°C in Tripoli, and between 3 and 13°C in Zahle.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Saturday: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with a slight drop in temperatures. Fog will form on the mountains, with local rainfall during the day and some snowfall above 1,800 meters, with a chance of thunder and lightning in southern areas. Weather will stabilize at night.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with local fog on the mountains and rising temperatures.
Monday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy with high clouds and a further rise in temperatures, exceeding seasonal averages, with lower humidity. Winds will become active in the evening in southern areas, with a chance of light dust in the atmosphere.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with a gradual drop in temperatures returning to seasonal averages. Occasionally active winds carrying some dust, especially in southern areas. In the evening, weather will turn cloudy with fog forming on the mountains, and conditions will become favorable at night for light, scattered, muddy rainfall, especially in northern areas, and light snowfall above 1,800 meters.
