Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon, Marion Weichelt, and a delegation from the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh.
The delegation included Ambassador Tim Enderlin, Head of the Peace and Human Rights Department at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, who explained after the meeting: "As part of our mission, and because we are concerned with humanitarian issues in Lebanon, we are working to support the process of stability on the domestic front. From this perspective, I visited a number of Lebanese officials and figures, including Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh, to exchange views, benefit from his experience, and promote peace in Lebanese society. One of our priorities is to strengthen peace in Lebanese society."
It is worth noting that the delegation also included Nicolas Masson, Head of the Mediation, Dialogue, and Joint Programs Department between Lebanon and Switzerland, as well as Geraldine Verda, Human Security Officer at the Swiss Embassy in Lebanon.
