Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, led by Ernesto Ramirez Rigo, at the Government Palace.
Salam confirmed that “the meeting was positive and productive, discussing the IMF’s feedback on the draft law addressing the banking sector, as well as the draft law on financial regularization and deposit recovery.”
The meeting also covered the next operational steps aimed at reaching an agreement with the IMF, according to the government’s ministerial statement.
