The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued the following statement:
“Around 4:20 am today, an incident occurred inside a juice can production factory in the Fanar area, where an explosion in one of the industrial machines caused parts of the ground and first floors to collapse.
In response, Civil Defense teams carried out search and rescue operations and removed the debris. Two workers were rescued from under the rubble, treated, and transported to a hospital to receive necessary medical care. The body of a worker of Indian nationality was also recovered from the debris.
Civil Defense teams continue to ensure public safety at the scene of the incident.”
