Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail, MP Walid Baarini, with whom he discussed the general situation and demands related to the Akkar region.

Premier Salam also received the Sidon Municipality Head, Mustafa Hijazi, with the discussions touching on the municipality's current situation and development and administrative projects related to the city of Sidon.

Salam later met with a delegation from the Higher Customs Council, headed by Brigadier General Misbah Khalil, and the Director General of Customs Gracia Azzi, who came on a courtesy visit upon the council's appointment.

Salam emphasized the need to intensify efforts to increase customs revenues by enhancing collection processes and implementing automation in monitoring systems.
