The Lebanese Army stated in a communiqué that while the army was establishing a monitoring point along the southern border in the Sarda area – Marjayoun, the vicinity of the point came under gunfire from the Israeli side, coinciding with a low-altitude Israeli drone flight that issued threats aimed at forcing the personnel to leave.
The Army Command issued orders to reinforce the position, remain at the site, and return fire toward the sources of the shooting.
The matter is being followed up in coordination with the ceasefire monitoring committee and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
