Minister of Economy Amer Bisat reassured that “Lebanon’s wheat stock is sufficient for two months, and there is ongoing coordination between mills and bakeries.”
Speaking after a meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Bisat said that supermarket supplies are sufficient for one month, while external stockpiles are enough for between three and four months. He also called on the port administration to expedite the release of food supplies.
He further confirmed that the fuel situation is very comfortable and that gasoline is available.
Bisat added: “We understand citizens’ fears and affirm that we are closely monitoring the situation in accordance with a plan we have studied and continue to implement.”
