Hezbollah Prepares Possible Attack on Church
Hezbollah released a report through multiple media outlets under its control, including the newspaper Al-Akhbar, claiming that Israeli soldiers had taken shelter inside the church in the southern Lebanese town of Debl for fear of being targeted. However, a local source told MTV that the report is false, confirming that no Israeli soldiers are inside the town; they are only positioned on its outskirts, and none have taken shelter in the church.

The source added that the report appears to be a pretext for Hezbollah to target the church, noting that earlier today a missile was fired toward the town, injuring a resident and causing panic among the locals.

In response, the Debl Municipality issued the following statement:

“In clarification of circulating reports, Debl Municipality confirms that the Israeli army has not entered the town and is only present at its outskirts, while Lebanese security forces are deployed within the town, fully carrying out their duties to maintain safety and stability.

The municipality also notes that approximately 1,770 residents remain steadfast in their homes, with their situation continuously monitored and coordinated with the relevant authorities.

This clarification was necessary to correct the rumors and reassure our citizens.”
