Salam: Lebanese Future Must Not Depend on Interests Beyond Lebanon
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a delegation from the town of Borgholiyehin the Tyre district, headed by Mayor Mohammad Khodr Al-Daoud, with discussions focusing on the town’s situation.

Salam praised the residents for their resilience, as well as that of all southern towns that have refused to evacuate, stressing that “the state stands by them and is continuously working to secure aid convoys.” He emphasized that “the resilience of these southern towns reflects the resilience of all Lebanese, in the face of displacement plans and the establishment of so-called buffer zones.”

He also stressed that “the fate of the Lebanese people must not remain tied to calculations that go beyond Lebanon’s interests and those of its people.”
