Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote the following on X:
“The Israeli Army is revealing serious information about Hezbollah seizing the village of Al-Qawzah in southern Lebanon and using it to launch rockets, artillery shells, and anti-tank rounds toward our forces and Israeli territory.
Recently, the army has observed deliberate attempts by Hezbollah to position itself in Christian villages in southern Lebanon and operate from within them, believing this grants them immunity and protection from Israeli strikes.
This is not the first time we have exposed Hezbollah’s exploitation of Christian villages and facilities in southern Lebanon. Previously, we revealed the existence of Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure under a church in the village of Khiam in southern Lebanon.
Residents of Christian villages, push Hezbollah out of your villages and do not cooperate with them. Hezbollah dragged your country into the war on behalf of Iran, putting your lives at risk and deliberately operating from within your villages.
Hezbollah members operating from inside Christian villages in southern Lebanon, you are not immune there. The Israeli Defense Forces will act strongly against you if necessary to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
