President of the Republic Joseph Aoun called on International Organization for Migration Director General Amy Pope to increase support for Lebanese displaced by Israeli attacks in the south, Bekaa and Beirut’s southern suburbs, while also assisting host communities to preserve social stability.
At Baabda Palace, in the presence of Imran Riza, Aoun stressed the need for sustained international backing.
Pope said the scale of displacement is placing heavy pressure on communities, noting ongoing coordination with partners to secure funding and strengthen the humanitarian response.
Both sides underscored the need to de-escalate and reinforce stability to address Lebanon’s humanitarian and economic challenges.
