The spokesperson of the Israeli Army, Avichai Adraee, wrote on X:
“During the focused ground activity in southern Lebanon, our forces arrested members of the Radwan Force unit within Hezbollah who were planning to launch an anti-tank missile toward Israeli army forces. They were transferred for interrogation by Unit 504.”
He added: “The interrogation of the individuals revealed a decline in the morale of Hezbollah members in southern Lebanon. The individuals also clearly admit in the interrogation that Hezbollah decided to enter the battle in support of the Iranian regime. One of the individuals says: Hezbollah went out to avenge Ali Khamenei. These confessions confirm the obvious, that Hezbollah and the Iranian regime are one entity.”
He continued: “From the interrogation, morale is at rock bottom. No one has the energy to go and fight. We have just come out of a year-and-a-half war. Whoever comes from their home comes unwillingly. You cannot tell Hezbollah that you do not want to come. Everything is under bombardment; you do not know when a shell will fall on you. Whoever comes from their home comes unwillingly because they cannot tell them ‘I don’t want to come.’ You do not know at what hour the shell will fall on your head. After a year and a half of war, you go back and start a battle and only make things worse. An animal is sending an animal; don’t ask about it. They don’t even ask us, for example, where you ate, where you slept, with whom I should talk if something happens to me, what should I do if I get hit by glass. A dog is sending a dog to the battlefield; it sends us to death.”
