Public Works Minister Fayez Rasamny stepped up contacts over truck movement at the Masnaa crossing amid strike threats, prompting rapid precautionary measures.

In coordination with Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, authorities moved to clear stranded trucks between Masnaa and Jdeidet Yabous. About 200 trucks with drivers were relocated to customs yards, easing congestion, while empty Lebanese trucks were allowed in.

Some driverless trucks remain stuck, with ongoing coordination with Syrian authorities, who agreed to facilitate returns.

Rasamny stressed strict security at the crossing, denying smuggling claims, and praised swift coordination among concerned agencies.
