Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on X what he described as the “largest strike across Lebanon since the start of Operation ‘Roar of the Lion,’” saying that within 10 minutes, simultaneous attacks were carried out in multiple areas, targeting around 100 Hezbollah sites and military infrastructures.
He added that the Israeli military had conducted a wide-scale operation across Beirut, the Bekaa, and southern Lebanon, striking headquarters, command-and-control centers, and military systems belonging to Hezbollah. According to the statement, the targets included intelligence sites used for planning operations, infrastructure linked to rocket and naval capabilities, as well as assets tied to the Radwan force and the group’s aerial unit.
The operation, he said, was based on precise intelligence and had been prepared over several weeks by various military branches. He also claimed that many of the targeted sites were embedded within civilian areas, accusing Hezbollah of using civilians as human shields, and noted that measures were taken to minimize civilian harm.
Adraee added that Hezbollah’s involvement in the conflict under Iranian backing harms Lebanon and its people, urging opposition to its presence in civilian regions. He concluded by stating that Israeli operations will continue to target Hezbollah and protect Israeli citizens.
