Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar, conducted a series of urgent phone calls, which included General Director of Internal Security Forces, Major General Riad Abdallah, Head of the Information Branch, Brigadier General Mahmoud Qobrosli, General Director of General Security, Major General Hassan Choucair, General Director of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Imad Khreish, in addition to the governors, to follow up on the security situation and the latest field developments.
Minister Hajjar gave the necessary directives to immediately enhance security deployment on the ground and at hospital entrances, facilitate traffic movement for ambulances, civil defense and fire brigade vehicles, and ensure swift response to rescue and emergency operations.
The Minister also stressed the need for continued precise field coordination among the various concerned units, and for closely monitoring developments moment by moment.
