Macron to Aoun: Ready to Make Contacts So That the Ceasefire Agreement Includes Lebanon
President Joseph Aoun received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, who offered him condolences for the victims who fell in the Israeli attacks that targeted neighborhoods in the Lebanese capital, as well as in Dahiyeh, the mountains, the south, and the Bekaa. He expressed his solidarity, along with the French people, with Lebanon and its people during these difficult circumstances.

Aoun and Macron discussed the latest developments following the announcement of an agreement on a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and the start of negotiations between them next Friday.

Macron expressed his readiness to carry out the necessary contacts so that the ceasefire agreement would also include Lebanon, in order to put an end to the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

President Aoun thanked President Macron for his positions that have always been supportive of Lebanon and its people, as well as for the assistance his country has provided to alleviate the suffering of Lebanese who were forced to flee from their towns and villages.
