An official Lebanese source told MTV's website that Lebanon has not yet been informed of any date for direct negotiations with Israel, though they are expected to take place within days, following the “Pakistan model,” meaning a ceasefire would be announced beforehand.

The source added that the Lebanese side remains committed to the initiative launched by President Joseph Aoun, which calls for a ceasefire before entering negotiations.

He also noted that the Lebanese delegation will be headed by Ambassador Simon Karam, with additional members determined based on the size of the Israeli team.
