The Israeli army said it has intelligence information confirming that Hezbollah fired shots at members of UNIFIL in southern Lebanon during the ceasefire.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said that following an operational and intelligence investigation, the army can confirm that yesterday, during a UNIFIL operation to remove unexploded ordnance in the Ghandouriyeh area, a Hezbollah cell opened fire on them. As a result, one UNIFIL member was killed and three others were injured, two of them seriously.
He added that Hezbollah continues to exploit the ceasefire to carry out activities that endanger civilians and international organizations in Lebanon.
