Russia has called on the US and Iran to restart peace talks following tit-for-tat attacks.

“We call on all parties in this conflict to exercise restraint and return to the negotiating table,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, when asked by the AFP news agency about the latest attacks.

Peskov added that the escalation risks more “negative consequences for the situation in the region and the global economy”.
