Tehran says the latest US attacks have destroyed a maritime traffic control tower on the Chabahar port in Iran’s Makran in a “heinous attack” targeting the livelihoods of fishermen and the safety of civilian maritime navigation in the region.

Iran said in a statement, reported by Tasnim news agency, that the US forces destroyed “a completely civilian structure” by the launch of three missiles.

The US attacks on “vital infrastructure once again highlight the West’s double standards and Washington’s disregard for its own self-imposed international treaties,” the statement noted.
