The inauguration ceremony of the Environmental Shield and the Sustainable Alpine Sports Trail for Lake Chabrouh was held, in the presence of Tourism Minister Laura El Khazen Lahoud, Energy Minister Joe Saddi, and MPs Chaouci Daccache and Salim Sayegh.

Speaking to MTV, Tourism Minister Laura El Khazen Lahoud stressed the importance of promoting all forms of tourism, particularly environmental and sports tourism, calling for "setting political differences aside and supporting President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam." She added that "our government is doing everything necessary, and negotiations must be supported. We hope to reach a peace agreement and restore security and stability."

For his part, Energy Minister Joe Saddi told MTV that he "never compromises public safety or environmental safety," noting that "the focus today is on environmentally responsible activities." He also revealed that "the water season is much better than last year."
