Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced that Beirut’s Traffic Unit has continued its field operations aimed at enhancing road safety and cracking down on violations, particularly those committed by motorcycle riders.

The ISF said the campaign was carried out following a decision by Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar to tighten enforcement measures in Beirut and address traffic violations.

Between July 1 and July 18, 2026, the operations resulted in the seizure of 1,986 motorcycles and 231 vehicles, while 11,085 traffic violation reports were issued, according to the statement.

The ISF reaffirmed that it will continue enforcing traffic regulations and urged citizens to regularize the legal status of their vehicles and comply with applicable laws to ensure public safety.
