Polish diplomat goes missing in Lebanon

Wojciech Gawrysiuk, an employee at the Polish Embassy in Beirut, is missing, and the person he was last seen with was found dead early Sunday morning after apparently drowning, security officials said.
Gawrysiuk was last seen at a party with Michlene Maalouf, an Internal Security Forces official declared on condition of anonymity as the investigation is ongoing.
The sources said that Gawrysivk is still missing and that authorities are not sure if he is alive or dead.
The Polish Embassy refused to comment.
A security source revealed that a car registered to the Polish Embassy was found near Maalouf’s body - which was found at Ramlet al-Bayda, a public beach near the southern end of Beirut. The source said the keys of the car were still inside along with Gawrysiuk and Maalouf’s clothes.
Neither source could provide more information, citing the ongoing investigation to find Gawrysiuk.
