Israel dismisses report on Netanyahu-Putin deal
A senior Russian official told the Sunday Times that Russia will call off a deal to sell advanced anti-aircraft missiles to Syria, and in return the Russians expected Israel to refrain from carrying out further airstrikes against Syria.

Israeli officials denied the report, saying that Russia is planning on going forward with the sale deal though it is not clear when the deal will be finalized. The officials added that no commitment on the part of Russia had been received and that Israel hadn't committed to hold off on future attacks against arms shipments from Syria to Hezbollah.

"This story is detached from reality. A fairytale. There was no agreement or understanding achieved between Putin and Netanyahu", one of the officials told Jerusalem Post.
