Fatfat: "Future" bloc open to vote on any electoral bill
Member of Parliament Ahmad Fatfat said that most Lebanese political parties reject the 1960 law and March 14 are trying not to go back to it, considering that the right approach to the election law is to call the parliament's general assembly to vote on the presented law drafts.

"The 'Future' movement is ready to vote on any bill even if the Orthodox plan were the first to be discussed, Fatfat said during a radio interview.

However, the MP said that holding the parliamentary elections soon was a very difficult issue, asking Speaker Nabih Berri to call for a general session.

Separately, Fatfat said that the deployment of the Lebanese Army in Tripoli is not enough to solve the crisis, saying if " there were no political decision to disarm the city, this would mean that we are postponing the explosion and the problem to another time".

However, the MP hoped the Army procedures would succeed despite the need to a radical solution, pointing out that everybody knows that the situation in Tripoli is linked to that of Syria.
