Syria's war is now witnessing two scenes: The advance of rebels in the north and in Latakia suburb while the regime forces are advancing in al-Khaldieh after seizing al-Qusayr in Homs suburb.

In the latest developments, rebels fighting to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad have captured a key air base in the northern province of Aleppo after a months-long battle, a monitoring group reported.

The rebel army swept through the Menagh air base hours after a suicide bomber detonated a car loaded with explosive inside the base, reportedly killing a number of regime army troops.

On the other hand, in Aazaz near the Turkish border, three civilians died when explosive-laden barrels were launched from a warplane, said the Observatory.
