US President Barack Obama sent best wishes to President Michel Suleiman and the Lebanese people on the occasion of Eid'l Fitr.
"I hope the holy month of Ramadan has been a time of renewal and reflection for your country's Muslim community. May you and your people enjoy peace, health, andprosperity in the coming year. Eid Mubarak," he said.
He noted that during Ramadan, Muslims in the US and around the world have shared the tradition of Ramadan with their families and friends, "while drawing strength from their faith and helping those less fortunate."
"On behalf of the American people, I extend to you and the people of your country best wishes on the joyful occasion of Eid al-Fitr," he said.
