France sternly condemned on Friday the fresh blast that has rattled the region of Rweiss in the southern suburb of Beirut last night and claimed the lives of 20 and injured hundreds.

"France strongly condemns this attack," a spokesperson of the French Foreign Ministry said.

"It is necessary to uncover the full truth behind this attack and to bring authors to justice," he added.
