Israel to Hizbullah: Our response will be harsh

Northern Commander Major General Yair Golan stressed that, "Hizbullah is a competent enemy and no one should underestimate it," pointing out that, "Israeli Army knows how to fight as it has a fierce power."

"As I urge not to underestimate our enemy, it is forbidden for us to underestimate our capacities too. The battles we have seen in al-Qusayr town in Syria proved that we have an equal power."

In remarks to "walla" Israeli website, Golan said "The battle with Hizbullah will be way fiercest than before, it will cause huge damages and more casualties inside Israel however the more Hizbullah uses force against Israel, the more the response would be harsh and lethal."

"Our army is experienced and able to deal with Hizbullah missiles; however it will have to reach to the missile store locations such as the towns and the civilians' houses."

Golan wondered, "If Hizbullah party has the capacities, does it have the will? Nowadays it does not have it; but this might change according to the latest developments and circumstances. This means we have to be on high alert in order to fight any war against Hizbullah and its allies."

"How will we respond and how much force we will use, it will be hard to predict so soon." He added.

In a response to a question, Golan commented "Every time they say that Nasrallah is hiding, they wait for an insult or a sarcastic smile, but no not me, because we have to deal with Hizbullah party as a serious enemy and we have to deliberately be ready to fight."
