March 14 forces said Wednesday that the formation of a new government was not the responsibility of the political factions, stressing that the decision should be up to the President and the Prime Minister-designate.

"The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister-designate, with all due respect, are responsible for the Cabinet formation. We do not see any glimpse of hope outside these two men," former lawmaker Fares Soueid told reporters following the forces' regular meeting in Ashrafieh today.

"The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister-designate are to us the sole mainstay to saving Lebanon from this crisis," he concluded.
