1000 days of war: What about the status of the Syria regime army?

Syrian opposition has edited a report showing the military status of the Syrian regime. The report was submitted to western powers, proving harsh facts of Syria's bloody war in figures.

After 1000 days since the war has erupted, the situation of the Syrian regime army is as follows:

- 189,000 defectors or fugitives
- 3,000 of defected officers are in Turkey and Jordan
- 3,700 of defected officers are in Syria, cooperating with the rebels
- 40,000 of soldiers are fighting alongside the regime
- 60,000 are missing soldiers
- 135,000 agents were killed from the regime army, Republic Guards and security apparatuses
- 40,000 of non-Syrian nationals are fighting alongside the regime; they were trained in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon or Syria

Number of warplanes and hovercraft destroyers
- 277 were destroyed in the airports across Syria. 63 warplanes are remaining while 25 are transportation planes, hovercrafts and unmanned drones

Seven military airports were besieged by rebels:
- Minnigh airport / Aleppo
- Quwairss airport / Aleppo
- Abou al-Douhour / Idlib
- Deir al Zour airport
- Al-dabha airport / Homs
- Marj al-Sultan base / Damascus
- Al-Thaala military airport / Soueida

Syria used to possess 3600 armored vehicles, tanks and personnel carriers, now only 1400 have remained.

- 69% of geographic space is controlled by the regime forces
- 46% controlled by rebels
- 10% by various forces
- 13% controlled by rebels at night and by regime forces during the day

Since rival parties are receiving weapons from foreign countries, then both are attempting to enhance their situation, but luck is in the favor of the regime forces in the regard of the quality and the quantity of weapons.
