Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra vehemently condemned Friday the kidnapping of businessman Ibrahim al-Sakr's son.

"We strongly condemn such criminal acts regardless its ends: financial, blackmail, political or revenge. Such acts violate the freedom of people as well as their dignities, they also spread fear among the citizens who already have enough pain due to the bad times we are passing through," Zahra said in a statement.

"Such incidents prove that the state and its institutions are unable to maintain the citizens' security mainly if they are not radically resolved, now we wait what will happen next until the state hits with iron fist to stop such criminal acts that are strange from our society, customs and traditions," Zahra concluded.
