Minister of Justice Ashraf Rifi assured Monday Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Raii that Lassa's disputed lands case has been referred to the relevant judicial authority, which ruled that the properties' status shall remain unchanged until the court issues a final ruling. Rifi stressed to al-Raii that he is communicating with Mount Lebanon's Prosecutor in this regard.
Commenting on the patriarch's visit to Jerusalem, Rifi voiced support to al-Raii's trip, pointing out that no law prevents a clergyman from visiting the Holy Land.
"We all know that bishops and clergymen as well as muftis have been allowed to visit Jerusalem since 1948," Rifi stressed.
