Politicians from different backgrounds stood behind the microphone and uttered words of poetry mellow and sweet. No need to exert those rusty pipes, yet, the cause behind their performance is noble indeed.

They gathered at the MTV studios following an invite to partake in a song and music video marking Army Day.

The song will be aired exclusively on MTV starting Thursday night.

Politicians are not the only ones paying homage to the Military Institution. The song will also feature singers such as Najwa Karam, Assi al-Hellani, Wael Kfoury and Nancy Ajram who immediately accepted MTV's initiative aimed at honoring the Lebanese Army.

All the participants praised the Lebanese Army's efforts to protect Lebanon against threats amid sour political unrest.

The song is a humble gift from MTV to every soldier, lieutenant, and colonel; a small thank you embodied in a song to which we will all sing along starting tonight.
