Syrian Singing Legend Assala Nasri was detained by Internal Security Forces in Beirut International Airport for about an hour for being flagged by Interpol.
She was later released but had her passport revoked in a legal proceeding following a notice issued by the Syrian government on September 9, 2014, on grounds of treason.
Nasri, who holds both Syrian and Egyptian nationalities, will reportedly be called in Monday for investigation by the Lebanese State Prosecutor.
It is worth noting that this is not Nasri's first visit to Lebanon. The singer who is quite vocal about her disapproval of the Syrian regime was invited to partake in a television show and arrived in Beirut at noon Wednesday.
Nasri is currently being held in Lebanon until further investigation is completed.
