Iran's government put forth Tuesday a new candidate for science minister whose ministry is responsible for universities.
The candidate, Fakhroddin Ahmadi Danesh-Ashtiani, a civil engineer who specialized in seismology, needs to win a parliamentary vote next Tuesday to bag the post.
