Beirut lawmakers held a meeting at the Central House over the capital’s waste crisis and proposed solutions.

“After deliberations we have realized that we cannot resolve the crisis alone but need the assistance of all Lebanese regions. We ask for a comprehensive cooperation from all areas given that Beirut accommodates residents from all over the country,” MP Mohamad Kabbani said after the meeting.

Bilal Hamad, President of the Municipal Council of Beirut, urged Sukleen to resume its regular work in Beirut district, bar from disposal which is strictly related to the availability of landfills.
