Marada Movement leader, MP Sleiman Frangieh, met, at his Bnachei residence, with Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Minister Talal Arslan, with whom he discussed the current situation and latest developments.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Arslan renewed support for full proportionality to run the legislative polls.
"I do not accept at all that the elections be held under the 1960 law," he stressed.
For his part, Frangieh echoed Arslan's rejection of the 1960 format.
"We are concerned with the best interest of Christians. And their interest lies within devising a strategy to which we must all abide," he said.
