Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday confirmed during his meeting with "Wednesday Gathering" MPs that the Israeli enemy's allegations regarding some Hezbollah tunnels in South Lebanon were utterly false.

In this context, the House Speaker said that the Israeli side had not provided any information in support of its allegations during today's tripartite meeting in Naqoura.

Berri added that the Israeli Prime Minister was trying to cover up for his crucial position in Israel by coming up with these scenarios.

As for the formation of the lengthily awaited government, Berri reiterated the need to exert every effort possible to ensure the formation of the government. He also disclosed to his visitors some ideas proposed by Minister Gebran Bassil in this regard.

Berri went on to confirm that after the formation of the government, monthly meetings would be held to practice accountability and observation.

Moreover, the House Speaker hailed the results of the meeting held between Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, and Finance Minister, Ali Hassan Khalil.

"The monetary situation is stable and there are no fears in this regard," he added.

Separately, Berri had an audience with Caretaker Minister of Information, Melhem Riachy. Talks between the pair reportedly touched on the most recent developments.
