The Lebanese army implemented strict security measures in all Lebanese regions on the occasion of the holidays, in order to preserve the safety of citizens and protect worship places and touristic and commercial facilities, Army Command said on Sunday.
The Army Command urged citizens to refrain from firing into the air on the New Year eve, in order to maintain public safety and order in the country.
Violators will be prosecuted, Army Command said.
