Hasbani: Normalization with Assad regime means that Lebanon has started to enter game of axes
National News Agency
Deputy Prime Minister, Ghassan Hasbani, deemed Saturday that normalization with Syria opposed the principle of the "dissociation policy" agreed upon in the government.

"Normalization with the Assad regime means that Lebanon has begun to engage in the game of axes in the region...and this is against the principle of dissociation policy, which we agreed upon in the cabinet," Hasbani said in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon" Radio Station.

"The government contains political contradictions, but practical solutions make it imperative for everyone to work, and if there are political differences on key issues, it does not prevent the work of parties within the government," he said.

Commenting on the Syrian refugees file, Hasbani said that "everyone is with the return of the refugees."

"The international community plays a prominent role in the return of the Syrian Refugees to Syria," Hasbani went on.

He also said that the Syrians were afraid to return to Syria not only because of Daesh but also of the Syrian regime.
