President Michel Aoun visited Monday the Maronite monastic community center "Life Mission" at the general presidency in Antelias, at the invitation of its founder, General Father Wissam Maalouf.

Aoun arrived this morning at the congregational headquarters accompanied by MP Shamel Roukoz and the President's Special Advisor, Claudine Aoun Roukoz.

Aoun was briefed on the Monastery's undertaken humanitarian and charitable activities, in the service of the less fortunate people without any discrimination.

"God is love, and if we have a will to express this love, we will be missionaries in this holy monastic institution, may God protect you," Aoun addressed attendees.

The head of state and his accompanying delegation then toured the monastery's various departments and units, including the Monastery's lounge, garden, cave and children's activity room.

Aoun met with the children in the monastery and visited the elderly unit too.

The President then moved to the Monastery's chapel, where he partook in prayers for Lebanon.

At the end of the visit, Aoun wrote a word in the golden book, in which he said: "Let your community remain a sign of good in a world torn by egoism and worldly greediness."
