Prime Minister Saad Hariri indicated that he held a positive meeting with President Michel Aoun and General Security Chief Major General Abbas Ibrahim at Baabda palace on Thursday.
"The meeting was positive and solutions are close to being finalized," he said.
"I am more optimistic than before, but we must wait a little and you will hear good news, God willing," he added.
Aoun had received the Prime Minister for talks over the general situation and latest developments on the local scene.
The pair agreed over the necessity to convene the Cabinet in the nearest time possible.
General Ibrahim later joined the meeting.
