Journalist Nadim Koteish launched a series of commentaries about the Progressive Socialist party Chief Walid Jumblat during his DNA satirical news analysis show on Future TV. However, Koteish’ scathing criticism has fanned the flames of Minister Wael Bou Faour’s fury, hurling rare and violent remarks at him.
“In the darkest of times, a dirty mercenary dares to attack Jumblat by abusing a platform we respect in order to draw attention, gain approval or beg for silver, a drive which has always dominated feigned alliances and convictions…” Bou Faour lambasted.
“I can only reply to Bou Faour by reposting his statement, please share,” came Koteish’s reply on his personal Facebook account.
“I would also like to thank each person who called in to denounce the minister’s comment on DNA’s episode that dealt with the trash crisis, as well as the unprecedented surge in political and press banalities,” he added.
Koteish refused to respond to the remarks of the health minister, stressing that he will not stoop to a level of conversation that betrays all political, moral, and press standards.
“I am impressed though by the tremendous effort the minister has pulled. A few have ever beaten him to this bulk of insults with as little words possible. He certainly deserves an ‘Oscar’ in politics, manners and respect.
Koteich’s “Oscar” pun captures one reference in mind and that’s Jumblat’s dog.
